The Khourx River has its source in the northeastern Mountains of Misery. It both feeds and drains Lake Korst and is a major tributary of Vuchar River, joining it near Maykle. The lower leg of the Khourx, from Lake Korst to the Vuchar, is navigable, with riverboats connecting Delagia to ports up and down the Vuchar. Before the destruction of Il Aluk and its transformation in Necropolis, it would have been possible to travel by riverboat from Delagia to the ports of the Musarde River and even to the Sea of Sorrows.

The lower leg of the Knourx River below Lake Korst is also known as the Korst River, which would make it a tributary of the Korst River.
