The Night of Bright Truth is the annual night when all five moons of Nova Vaasa are full. It is said to be the night when no lies can be told. Traditionally, the Council of Lords meets in Kantora on this night. It is not, however, clear whether Nova Vaasa still has, or perhaps ever had, five moons. It has been suggested that "five moons" is a mistranslation from Vaasi into Mordentish with the correct rendering being "five celestrial wanderers", which is to say one moon and four planets.[1] The Night of Bright Truths would then occur when the moon is full and all of the planets are above the horizon of the night sky.[1]
