Alamos

Alamos is a huge nation west of the Sea of Sorrows. It has a democratic republic form of government, allowing an amount of freedom and liberties for its citizens unusual in the Demiplane of Dread. Parliament is chosen via popular election, and law is upheld by knights in blue uniforms. A veneration for the Founding Fathers and nostalgia for the past suffuses the mind for the public, old sins of the past forgotten but still rising to menace the nation in various ways. Alamos' darklord, Gilmore Anders, is remembered as a particularly strong hero in Alamos' history, but he committed multiple atrocities in creating the free and independent nation. The ghosts of those he transgressed rise from the grave to torment him. Inspiration for Gilmore and his domain come from the history of the United States and Pathfinder's Andoran.
