The Baron is a natural werebat and the darklord of the Eyrie, having killed the previous lord, Kravon.[1] The Baron infected Jerzi, Pyetr, and Liza with lycanthropy and enslaved them under his control[2], and he now wishes to use Mikel Gunderling, a cursed immortal, as his eternal blood supply.[3]

El Aviador acts as decoy leader for would-be assassins against him.[4]
