Immol sits in a dale adjacent to a lake at the foot of Terestrãu ("Mount Sawtooth") in the south-eastern corner of Barovia. The lake is the source of the Saniset River which is not navigable at this point. Immol is joined to Hazlan by the Warlock's Road. It is reckoned to be one day's hard ride from Toyalis.[1]

It is governed by a burgomaster, currently Burgomaster Petre Teodorus. He operates the Teodurus Archives.[1]

Immol holds small populations of both Thaani and Forfarian people.[1] Immol also serves as the covert headquarters for the Ildi'Thaan.[2]
