Gooma was once the adopted son of Grandmother Manuella. However, as he grew of age Manuella forbade him from falling in love as Manuella wanted to be taken care of in her old age. However, Gooma eventually fell in love with a young woman named Kyta. After Manuella became a green hag in her frustration and rage, she tricked Gooma into drinking a magic potion that transformed him into a cursed boto. He now lives unaging but with only a partial memory of his past. His charming nature has been heightened to supernatural levels, but this is more or less uncontrolled. In addition, he is cursed to draw anyone whom reminds him of Kyta and ultimately lead them out to see where he survives in the form of a dolphin whereas his partners almost certainly perish.[1]
