Nerull is a Greater Deity[1] with many followers in The Great Kingdom on Oerth, but he is less well known elsewhere.[2]

For reasons known only to Nerull himself, an Avatar of Nerull seemed to have meddled in the events of Death Ascendant.[3]

In 2nd Edition, Nerull was the favored deity of the Gundarakites, at least when ruled by Duke Gunder.[4] However, with the switch to 3rd Edition, many direct ties to other Dungeons and Dragons worlds were dropped due to licensing issues. In this case, Erlin seems to have replaced Nerull as the old Gundarkite god.
