Her tomb in the crypts of Castle Ravenloft is labelled "Wife,"^[3] so it is likely that she wed Strahd von Zarovich before her death.

Ireena has been (unknown to her) dominated by Strahd von Zarovich. She seeks to take back the Holy Symbol of Ravenkind that was stolen from her murdered father.</ref>^[4]
