The Night of Bright Truth is the annual night when all five moons of Nova Vaasa are full. It is said to be the night when no lies can be told. Traditionally, the Council of Lords meets in Kantora on this occasion. It is not, however, clear whether Nova Vaasa still has, or perhaps ever had, five moons. 
It has been suggested that "five moons" is a mistranslation from Vaasi into Mordentish with the correct rendering being "five celestial wanderers", which would be to say one moon and four planets.[1] The Night of Bright Truths would then occur when the moon is full and all four planets are above the horizon.[1]
