Little is known about coraltan, with Friar Whelm currently being the only known specimen. If he is typical for this strain of undead monster, coraltan are easily recognizable as undead, possess tangled maws, their appearance and nature is such that they may intimidate even vampires, and they are capable of draining the lifeforce from the living without a need for physical contact, causing them to age. The use of an 'energy spike' - visible as a flying spark, enables them to draw a substantially larger amount of energy, though the amount the target ages is likewise greater.
