Captain of the Mists

Captain of the Mists is a prestige class available only to half-vistani characters. Its distinguishing feature is the ability to use Mistways with a lesser chance of being led astray and deposited in some undesired location, due to the Captain's Vistani heritage, experience, and savvy. Captains of the Mist are widely recognized as the premier ship captains and caravan leaders of Ravenloft because of this ability (and the other abilities of the class). As half-Vistani (and merchants who make their living on the road) they tend to have no fixed residence, but many retain lodgings in Paridon, whose lifeblood is trade through the Mists with other countries and which therefore have offer the most opportunities for business.
