Part of the Rajian Pantheon and thus worshiped in Sri Raji, the goddess Kali is the Rajian goddess of not only destruction and death but also creation and new life. Also called the Black Mother, Kali revels in murder. However, with death she establishes new life.[1][2] The people of Sri Raji view her with awe as a figure that holds great influence over their daily lives.[3] The Grand Conjunction is commonly referred to by the Rajian people as the "Rebirth of Kali", a time when she annihilated the old world and birth it anew.[1][2] Since the Grand Conjunction, Kali has seen an upsurge in worship, both within Sri Raji and even sometimes without.[4]
