Rafe was a self-described noble-blooded wandering adventurer who woed and married Susannah Joson. The poor girl was soon murdered by him as were the rest of her family. He aimed to steal their fortune and used the ruse of a " Vistani curse" to cover his tracks. Aside from the murders, his success in the venture and his fate are unknown as is. It is possible that he was killed in turn by one of the family members who arose as ghosts.[1]

Originally from Nova Vaasa, Rafe's evil would eventually catch up to him when he became the darklord of Callista.[2]
