He was apprehended by [[Arkoo the Leopard Boy]] and brought to [[trial]] by [[Margie the Blind Juggler]] and [[Morcastle]]. He was [[convicted]] by the people of his city based not on evidence but on unproven accusations of various [[transgression]]s by his son and other townspeople. and [[transformed]] into [[Garrick the Man of a Thousand Knives]], a freak of [[Carnival l'Morai]] whom grew [[knife|knives]] from his [[skin]]. Later he was befriended by Marie and the other freaks of Carnival l'Morai, and he helped in the [[rebellion]] against the Puppetmaster and the city folk.
