Doom Guards, sometimes referred to as dread guards, are magical constructs that are at most a suit of armor and a weapon. They are not undead, and unlike a golem they are of limited intelligence. They exist almost exclusively in fortresses such as castles and dungeons, and almost always acting as a guard.[1]
The traditional process of creation for creating doom guards, at least developed by Azalin, is not what one would expect, as no spells or cast magic is used. Instead, they are meticulously forged on an enchanted Anvil of Darkess.[1] However, it is possible for a 15th level or higher spellcaster to create one.[2]
