During the first twenty five or so years of Jander's time in Ravenlof(475 BC to 500 BC), an entity bearing the resemblance of his Anna haunted Jander's dreams, goading him to seek out and avenge her against the cause of her madness[1] . However, after failing to fully destroy Strahd, Jander realized how he had been manipulated by the Dark Powers. Dream Anna was merely a deception, a fabrication of the Dark Powers to goad Jander and Strahd's conflict with each other.[2]
