Like atheism, misotheism involves a lack of worship of deities. This is not out of disbelief in their existence. Rather, it reflects a belief that the gods are untrustworthy, corrupt, or even Evil.[1]


In the Land of Mists, Tsien Chiang is one example of a someone who holds misotheism to be true, as she loathes the gods for not sharing their mystical secrets over the number four.[2]
