Paladine, the Father of All Good, was a prominent deity in Krynn, the husband of Mishikal, and the former patron of Lord Soth. Paladine's worship was centered in Istar until the Kingpriest of Istar attempted to command the Gods of Good to grant him dominance over mortal kind. Paladine sent a vision to the fallen knight Lord Soth to rider to Istar and stop the Kingpriest in order to receive his redemption. However, Soth turned back in his quest to confront Isolde Denissa about her alleged infidelity. The Gods punished the Kingpriest and Istar by destroying them with a giant flaming mountain. Thus, Soth allowed the Cataclysm to happen.[1]
