A Drow Vampire is a drow who has returned from death via the Drow Vampire strain of vampirism. This strain only affects drow, hence all Drow Vampires are both Drow and Vampires, but not all Vampires who are Drow are affected by this strain. It is possible for a Drow to contract another strain of vampirism, including the basic version.
Draw Vampires can polymorph into or control giant spiders.
