Giogoto ("friend of the tribe" [1] or "enlightened, yet not of the blood"[2] is a Vistani term for a giogorgio whom has been recognized as a close ally or affiliate to the Vistani people. The Vistani do not cheat giogotos, and giogotos may seek shelter with the Vistani for a limited time.r[2] Depending upon the circumstances, such a person may be granted travel with the caravan.[1]
Despite a giogoto's affinity for the tribe that "adopts" the individual, there is always a sense of distance as becoming a giogoto does not mean joining the tribe. This term can been applied to potentially full-blooded individuals whose full Vistani parentage is still somewhat in question.[1] Vistani from different A Vistani who interacts with others from a different tasque is thought of as giomoto by those members of that different tasque.[2]
