Jacques du Almoy is a Dementlieuse thief and secretly the illegitimate son of Dominic D'Honaire with Eva Candeau. Upon receiving information about his heritage from Councilor Helenè DuSuis, the Living Brain had Jacques kidnapped and delivered to Schloss Mordenheim, where Victor Mordenheim was coerced into turning Jacques into a thrall for the Brain.
