Essenbach Somp ("Heath of Tears") is the river delta in Lamordia formed by the Musarde River or, as the locals call it, the Riefa Spandwäs ("Cobweb River") which fans out into four major branches. In this region of Lamordia, the floodplains shift to heath interrupted by the occasional foul-smelling marsh. Travel through the dismal place is worse during the summer, when mosquitoes swarm the area.[1]
