The Obsessions, as they were referred to by Esmae Amarantha, were a quartet of Esmae's special agents. They are as follows[1]:
- the First Obsession: Glovia Falinescu
- the Second Obsession: Graxxygak
- the Third Obsession: Ivan Randovich
- the Fourth Obsession: Omou
Like that of Esmae herself, each of her Obsessions was marked by a unique, obsessive attachment to something or someone, to which Esmae exploited to manipulate them into helping her cause. She gained their assistance in breaching the Amber Temple. After Esmae merged with the vestige of the Evening Glory, she commanded the Obsessions to find four objects formerly owned by Tatyana Federovna. The Obsessions were successful in gathering these items. However, they all died or disappeared soon thereafter, killed by adventurers or disappearing into the Mists.[2]
