Chardin is a minor character from the Baroness of Blood novel. Although a child, she nonetheless served as an impromptu spy for Kislovan rebels against the Obour Family when she overheard the Kislovan soldiers talking about an invasion of Sundell. She rescued a blind, maimed, and mute Dark from certain death in the forests of Kislova and helped him deliver a message of Kislovan invasion to Baron Peto Casse. Her help went so far as to kill a Kislovan soldier attacking Dark. Chardin lost her life to the poisoned blade of a Kislovan officer, ssacrificing her own life to save Dark's.[1]
