Prior to the Pasques Massacre and the mass murder on the following anniversary, Pasques was a holiday of regrowth and restoration. Although the ritual celebrations were relatively uncomplicated, there was a festival ending with a feast. However, the memory of Pasques has forever been tainted, such that it is no longer celebrated but instead dreaded.[1]
