"Coraline" is a hag responsible for much of the corruption of Semine.
Background
As a half-elf child, Coraline was found by Semine prior to the transformation of both as hags. Semine brought the child home to be adopted by her parents, whom eagerly assented. Coraline was a pariah and an outcast within her adoptive home community, due to her rapid maturation and ways as a seducer. However, she eagerly assisted Semine in the birth of the latter's children as a midwife. Eventually, Coraline left the elven community for good to live with the humans, driving a wedge between her and Semine.[1]
Over a decade later, Coraline returned as a hag to wreak havoc upon Semine and her family. Coraline seduced and murdered Semine's husband Calimed right before her very eyes and caused the death of many other of Semine's loved ones. Coraline persuaded Semine that hags were born evil, and thus drove Semine into killing her grandson Coraline had conceived with one of Semine's sons the former had seduced. Semine trained hard as a witch and a hag hunter for two decades before a disastrous encounter with Coraline. The blows of Coraline's Cane left Semine maimed, enfeebled, and weakened, setting her up for instruction and transformation into a hag by Coraline's covey members.
