A merling appears to be a human woman with wings and the lower body of a shark. Though capable of flight, they are only found in areas where water is plentiful. Like a harpy, the merling's song has the ability to charm potential mates.
Note that the merling was never updated to 3.x Edition, so the creature types assigned below are speculative.
