The Black Sheikh is a jackal lord and the villain of the traditional Pharazian folktale the Garden of the Black Sheikh. In the story, he is confronted by Asjanna in order to to free her lover, Abdul. The Black Sheikh offers Asjanna Abdul's freedom if she can pick him out from his other slaves, but should she fail, she too would fall into his service. Asjanna agrees, only to find out Abdul has been transformed into a jackal along with a number of other slaves.[1]
