Althea, a medusa, is the darklord of Demise. She lives trapped in a labyrinth at the center of the volcanic crater that forms most of the island. The labyrinth is not of her make, and she is just as vulnerable to the confusing illusions in it as trespassers. Loneliness consumes her, and she may ultimately seek a mate.[1][2]
