Karin, Riandra, and Varith are Vistani sages and the collective leaders of their clan. Together, they are occupied with capturing the Artifacts of Darkness that threaten "the Light". Of the aspects of life the trio represents, Karin represents old age.
Karin, Riandra, and Varith punished Brinn, a darkling, for spreading knowledge of the Artifacts by killing him. They sent Steffan to collect the Soulstone and told Mika about Wort and the Bell of Doom.
