I confess to not knowing the meaning of scatabrae.Cure 02:19, 20 April 2010 (UTC) I confess to not knowing the meaning of scatabrae.Cure 02:19, 20 April 2010 (UTC)

Scatabrae are the "wellsprings of silence and terror" described in Gaz II, and i think also in the Requiem boxed set. While all those categories are fine as far as description and related topics go, I'm looking for a more basic: "What type of thing is it?" category, like location. But it's more of transient area of mystical effect. A "Zone" perhaps? -- Gonzoron 12:15, 20 April 2010 (UTC)

A curse, sure. Not an event, surely. Can it be a location? not really, since it moves. (though so does the House of Lament, but that's neither here nor there. I'm trying to figure out an appropriate term that could also be used for scatabrae, reality wrinkles, sinkholes of evil, etc... Maybe it just goes in :Category:Magic? -- Gonzoron 01:00, 20 April 2010 (UTC) A curse, sure. Not an event, surely. Can it be a location? not really, since it moves. Reality Wrinkle ~~belongs in~~ :Category:Demonology ~~if it~~ is not ~~already there as does Twisting now that I think of it. I would put both under~~ the ~~:Category:~~Dark Powers ~~too which I admit is my catch all Category for things unique to Ravenloft. So a reality wrinkle could be a~~ :Category:~~quasi-plane~~ ~~or perhaps better a~~ :Category:~~planar distortion~~~~. Actually it definitely should appear within~~ :Category:~~Planar Mechanics~~ ~~but perhaps within something else. Equally, there is~~ :Category:~~Ravenloft Lore~~~~. Sinkholes of Evil would fit in the last,~~ :Category:~~Dark Powers~~~~, and~~ :Category:~~Evil~~.
