Elements of the setting have been incorporated into the main 4th Edition Dungeons & Dragons world, but the Demiplane as a we know it is currently untouched. The Ravenloft Product Line comprises the total of all published information on [[Ravenloft (Setting)|The Ravenloft Setting]].

Everything started with the AD&D module [[I6: Ravenloft]] published by TSR in 1983. It was followed by the sequel adventure [[I10: Ravenloft II - The House on Gryphon Hill]] in 1986. Both of these adventures were set on unnamed [[Prime Material]] worlds, where the original versions of [[Barovia]] and [[Mordent]] lay, respectively.

In 1991, inspired by these two classic adventures, TSR created [[Ravenloft (Setting)|The Ravenloft Setting]], incorporating elements from the adventures and transporting [[Barovia]] and [[Mordent]] to a new [[Demiplane of Dread]], split into [[domains]] and ruled by [[darklords]] cursed by mysterious [[Dark Powers]]. Over the next decade, TSR (and later, their parent company, Wizards of the Coast) would publish 82 products set wholly or partially in the setting (including 3 products set in the [[Masque of the Red Death]] spin-off setting) and 20 Ravenloft novels. During this time, Ravenloft was also featured in several articles in [[:Category:Dragon Magazine|Dragon]] and [[:Category:Dungeon Magazine|Dungeon]]. The final Ravenloft product published by TSR/WotC was the super-module [[Die Vecna Die!]], in 2000, marking the end of 2nd Edition Dungeons & Dragons.

Ravenloft was revived for 3rd Edition via a licensing agreement between WotC and White Wolf's ArtHaus imprint. From 2001 through 2005, 20 Ravenloft products were produced by ArtHaus. (Including one [[Masque]] product). At the time the line was cancelled, two products were still in production. [[Van Richten's Guide to the Mists]] was published online, in draft form, as a free download. [[Masque of the Jade Horror]] remained unseen by the public.
