Papa Volcha Petronik was a [[Tepestani]] man [[murdered]] by [[Lorinda Mindefisk]] in order to lure his former [[student]]s into a trap. As part of the setup, Lorinda fabricated and assumed the guise of [[Vuellere]], the supposed child of a failed [[marriage]] with an equally fabricated woman named [[Greta Dstova]]. Among Lorinda's possible targets attending Papa Volcha's [[funeral]] was [[Paulina]] and her party of [[adventurer]]s.
