[[Nayyif al-Tawil]] was a [[scholar]] at the [[University of Phiraz]] who learned of the [[Well of Spirits]] over the course of his research. He ventured to the [[High Cliff Fortress]] and convinced the [[Vigilant (Mamluk Order)|Vigilant]] to show him the false Well of Spirits. However, he was not deceived. However, because Fate is sometimes merciful, on his way back to [[Phiraz]] Nayyif al-Tawil encountered [[Jannat al-Bari]] and [[Kabir al-Zadeh]]. These two worthies knew enough about the spirit stones to save Nayyif al-Tawil from his folly.
