Whereupon Marcu's brain was extracted and fed to the God-brain. As to the rest of his body, it was re-engineered by the [[biomancers]] of that fell realm and the brain of an [[illithid]] placed within it This was the birth of an abominable double of Marcu that has been ordered to track down the brain of a companion of the dead man, one [[Lidia Kurator]].
