He was [[kidnapped]] on a hunting expedition and was [[infected]] with [[lycanthropy]] by [[Jean Audric]]. He eventually escaped, but was [[imprisoned]] on the [[Von Brausch Estate\|family estate]] until [[Dr. Claude Vardeau]] could find a cure for his condition. Unfortunately, Marcellus later assumed his [[lycanthrope\|lycanthropic]] form and broke out, killing Lord Kaspar.
