	The above mentioned landowner, [[Eli van Hassen]], soon came to hate the interloping Horseman. He put pressure upon his daughter to betray her lover and bear [[false witness]] against him. ~~Out~~ of ~~[[loyal]]ty to~~ her ~~father~~, she eventually gave in. With such accusation, Eli ordered the capture of the Horseman and brought him before a mob.
