Although he did not participate in the abduction of the young [[Vistani]] woman [[Rozaleen]] ([[Hanford]] and [[Rostoff]] were the sole perpetrators), Blaumann did participate in the abuse and torment that ultimately resulted in her murder by Lord Ashington. As such, Blaumann became one of the targets of the [[Ashington Curse]]. So [[cursed]], he would never to emerge from the manor as one of the living should Rozaleen fail to. Soon after, Lord Ashington murdered his party guests- including ~~Hanford~~- for supposedly harboring sympathies with the deceased Vistani girl<ref>[[Dark Tales and Disturbing Legends]] p. 61-65</ref>.
