I'm reminded of an old comic from 'The Far Side' In which a hotel clerk is speaking across a desk to a gorilla and says, "I'm sorry. If you weighed 500 pounds, we could accomodate you, but it's a simple fact that a 400 pound gorilla does NOT sleep anywhere he wants." I wonder if this is what happened here.

The first thought that got my mind as reading that it dragged a poor woman around was: This isn't a gorilla, but Godzila!
