Not important at all, but I'm so happy I want to share.

I've finally got a new copy of Tales of Ravenloft after mine was stolen from the night-club I worked in two years ago and a new copy of Spectre of the Black Rose after mine was destroyed when the city I live in was flooded at the beginning of the year.

I've only got to get a new Tarroka deck and I'll be back to what I had before the floods!

But    your house got flooded?! -May I ask you where you live, my friend? - Were you a victim of the terrible Tsunami?

No, no. I live in England. The two rivers that flow into the city over-flowed, flooding it.

The white building in the background with the chimney is where I live now:

This one is of the road I lived on. My house is about 100ft behind the photographer:

:maligno: So, not your entire house, but only your cellar got flooded?
- Some nasty stuff, in any case. I hope you didn't lose too much of your belongings!

The flood was worse further down the street. Our entire ground floor was flooded to a depth of 4 feet, we didn't have a cellar. Fortunately, my flatmate took all my D&D stuff upstairs, so I only lost what I mentioned, plus Season 5 of Buffy on VHS.

About four six ago, my town had a flash flood, and my uncle's house (which was built right next to a storm water management drain) got flooded up to 1.4 metres. They lost everything. Worse still, two out of their three children are disabled.

Thankfully, the community came to their aid. In the end, they were lucky they got so much sympathy for their situation with the kids. Many others in the community got no help whatsoever.

They now live on top of a very, very high hill.

I live on the first floor now for the same reason. Problem is, one of the rivers flows past my window!

What a shit!

The only possitive thing about it may be that those disasters are some of the rare occasions when communities support themselves as they should usually do...
