In the fullness of time, every action fades to nothing.

I must say THAT is a very effective Vistani curse.

Urik von Kharkov's lair is atop a mountain that rises out of the jungle and is shaped a bit like a cat. This mountain in Sri Lanka is called "Lion Rock".

I can't remember if I've posted this before (it's hard to do a search by picture).
A night hag, riding a sleeping victim.

Another ossuary-turned-living-quarters, this time from Prague.

Long ago, the necromancer started putting the skulls of his enemies on the wall of his chambers. From time to time, he uses them as sources of information, lore, and conversation during the wee hours of the morning. Of course, your defeated enemies aren't always the best imprisoned conversationalists!
I picture the necromancer who lives in this ossuary speaking to these skulls about magical theory and tactics the heroes are apt to use. One of the skulls was a paladin who continually tries to turn the necromancer to good through prayer.

That's a great idea! The souls might talk resentfully to the necromancer, because they have noting else to do for centuries. But when the heroes arrive, the souls would be very happy to help the heroes wreak retribution upon the necromancer.
I had a similar idea for Azalin's underground lair in Roots of Evil, making it a more creepy graveyard location than a Batman-style Joker's hideaway as it currently stands.
Edit: It was actually the Black Vault, as described in
this thread.

At least the ones that haven't gone insane, anyway.
