Tarlyn has stated a reservation: if Goren had seen Papa Doc ready the red-hot poker, he would have intervened to heal Zumba himself. I am going to leave it up to Ail; do you prefer the Papa Doc-treatment, or a Goren-class healing spell?

FYI: I'll be out of town from Friday through Sunday. Hopefully, I'll be able to jump back online by Monday night.

Zumba would still go with the red-poker. He is used to that, and in this place, so close to where he was born, blood and tradition speak higher. No offense to Goren, Zumba knew full well what was happening when he stretched his arm.

I am really looking forward to your reactions to my most recent post. Did you all think I was just being dramatic when I named this chapter the Siege of Lac Noir, I wonder?
