Goren can now stone shape as well so perhaps he could make it easier for us to carry? Make it smaller at any rate if it is affected by spells of course.

Okay, so guys, before I chose my 3rd level spells, are there any neat spells you think I should consider? I can of course change them every morning. The Spell Compendium is interesting. Light of Lunia looks good for an offensive spell. I am thinking more on the lines of the man in white and his zombies. Suggestions, ideas? Clutch of Orcus is nice too but not a spell a Lathander priest might take unfortunately, heh.

I haven't opened a roleplay book since we started this campaign and I haven't played anything remotely like a priest for about.......8 years maybe?
I have no clue at all about any spells you might take.
My only advice would be, go with something that would be typical for Goren. He seems like the "aggressive" supporting type when it comes to combat and the very helping type out of combat.
Maybe rule out spells that only be cast on self? Something typical from your homeland or background?

Dunno what other advice to give really.

Tarlyn: Light of Lunia IS a good choice. The cleric in my home Ravenloft campaign has used it often and effectively, much to my chagrin. (Why, oh why did I allow it?!)

Rock: I'm pretty swamped at the moment, but I'll have my updated character sheet and a new post for you by Friday morning (U.S. Eastern time) at the latest. After that, I'll be away for a weekend of gaming with some old friends between Friday afternoon and Sunday. I should be back online by Sunday night; sooner, if I'm able to access the hotel's wifi.

Ken: That's okay, real life comes first. Besides, I've been maintaining a pretty leisurely pace for this campaign, right?

Ok, on a quick glance at the core PHB, spells that I recommend
(please, note I prefer to play healing and buffing clerics, not so much the fighting type)

(2nd)
- Bull's Strength
- Hold Person
- Remove Paralysis
- Resist Energy
- Restoration, Lesser
- Spiritual weapon (used this the other day on my real-world game and it was awesome. Really good, trust me. It's better if you have high wisdom, but I have a 20 anyway, so my experience may have been... ahem... coloured by that)

3rd
- Blindness / Deafness
- Daylight
- Dispel Magic
- Magic Circle Against whatever
- Prayer (a must!)
- Searing Light
- Stone Shape


P.S.: it doesn't stop to amaze me how I took over 10 years of role-playing to play a cleric for the first time and now I'm/will be playing 3 simultaneously after having played another not so long ago.

Then seeing as Goren is missing hp he will heal himself with his remaining spells.

Is there some charitable soul that will help poor Zumba? I'm missing 12hp, barred whatever I could recover from the tending of the staff at the inn.
