Additionally, he can provide the Ethereal Empathy bonus. As far as I am aware, this was not mentioned to him in character, unless it gets mentioned in passing in the briefing of the support casters.

We may assume he catches on when he gets a chance to peruse the book that contains the ritual (which is NOT the spellbook he read before going to sleep).

And does he have Planes? He does, neh?

My notes show +8 Arcana and +5 planes


He has a better Arcana bonus than does Dorgio (or anybody else)

Dorgio can obtain a better modified score by casting divine inspiration.
Secondary casters can roll for the primary caster Only if they've got a higher skill modifier. That's modifier, not skill ranks.
If Dorgio has to interrupt every time to cast divine inspiration, each interruption adds 1 to the DC of subsequent checks, and that's cumulative.
He will go into the ritual with the spell already cast, giving him an auto success on his first roll.
