The Dawnslayers were born of the Midnight Clarion, a secret protocol dating from the founding of the Cult of the Morninglord. It calls for destruction of vampires and the undead generally, and in particular both the gathering of intelligence concerning them and the gathering of the talent necessary to lay them to rest.
The existence of the Dawnslayers within the Cult of the Morninglord is as much a secret as the protocol itself. The Dawnslayers are led by Elizabeta Pirosska and the organisation is based in the catacombs of the Sanctuary of First Light in Krezk.
Probably not every Herald of Dawn knows of and is a member of the Dawnslayers. But probably most Dawnslayers involved directly in the expediation of the undead are Heralds of Dawn.
