A century old, Madame Isla Tekash is the raunie of the Tekash Family and therefore a member of the Canjar Tribe and Manusa Tasque. After her adult children were slain by a would be thief of her magic potions, Madame Isla raised her grandchildren. Now some of them have children of their own. Her grandson, Radu Tekash, is captain of the Tekash Caravan and is married to Mirela Tekash. Their teenage daughter, Reluca Tekash, is assistant and [[apprentice to Madame Isla. Another one of Radu's children is the debauched and foolish Alin Tekash.[1]
