Leisl

Also known as "Little Fox", Leisl was a thief and cutpurse that resided in the Village of Barovia. She fell love with Sasha Petrovich after the latter rescued her from one of Strahd's vampire slaves, to which Leisl returned the favor. Leisl swore off thievery in order to become a vampire hunter alongside Sasha Petrovich. She later entered Castle Ravenloft with Sasha and Jander Sunstar to destroy Count Strahd von Zarovich in 499 BC. They were unsuccessful in destroying him, but Strahd was wounded and fell into hibernation for a time. Leisl and Sasha went onto Vallaki to rebuild the Cult of the Morninglord, Martyn the Mad having died earlier.

Leisl long harbored romantic feelings for Sasha. Katya's relationship with Sasha made Leisl feel jealous. However, like Sasha, Leisl was deceived by Katya's guise as a sweet, innocent girl. Katya's relationship with Sasha ended when Katya's revealed her allegiance to Strahd as a spy. In the ensuing conflict, Trina assaulted and badly injured Leisl. Jander and Sasha highly suspected that Trina infected Leisl with lycanthropy. This is likely the reason for the leniency toward werewolves in the Cult of the Morninglord's dogma.
Given the length of time ago she lived, it is likely that Leisl is now deceased.
