Dr. Victor Mordenheim

Dr. Victor Mordenheim, in his quest to steal the fire of the gods and create life, spawned Adam, an intelligent, evil, and deadly golem fashioned of reanimated flesh. Adam would soon become the darklord of Lamordia as the land took its place in the northwestern Core.

Mordenheim toils almost without sleep in his medical laboratory, located in Schloss Mordenheim, his private residence. He struggles to restore his wife, Elise Von Brandthofen, to health, something that neither Adam nor the Dark Powers will ever permit. Mordenheim is the most gifted surgeon and most brilliant scientist in the Land of Mists. He also has a genuine talent for invention, although his creations always have a direct application to his work. Notable among them are the laboratory pump and lightning box. Although not acting fully under his own volition, he also fashioned the life support system of the Living Brain.

Mordenheim is a single-minded, cold and ruthless man who will stop at nothing in the pursuit of his goals. His nobility is more than a facade, but readily cracks under the strain of necessity. He is the arch-priest of positivism in the Land of Mists, yet has little time for evangelising.

Victor Mordenheim is patterned after Mary Shelly's Dr. Victor Frankenstein of the Frankenstein novel.
