The unnatural is deemed to have no place in nature. The judge may well be guardian of nature such as a druid from whom metals are unnatural and for whom their use in weapons and armor is unthinkable. Metals like steel and bronze simply do not occur in nature. Each is an alloy of human invention. Other metals such as copper and iron do occur in nature, but rarely in sufficient concentration and purity as to be useful. Smelting is the effective price of their use. It is precisely the naturalness of cold iron, which is unsmelted, that accounts for the fey's absence of immunity against it.

Not only is the unnatural deemed to have no place in nature. It is moreover deemed to be being that should not be. The spell rusting grasp, known to the druid alone, is the condemnation to non-existence of the unnatural. The labeling of something as unnatural, is tantamount to calling for its destruction.
