Belenus is a deity of the sun and lord over fire, venerated by both people within and without of the Demiplane of Dread. Outside of the demiplane, Belenus is venerated as one god among many in the Celtic Pantheon. Within the demiplane, the sun god is worshiped by members of the Church of Belenus in Nidala and in Tepest, although the messages preached by the Nidalan and the Tepestani clergies may be quite different from those of other realms or even from each other.[1][2]

Many druids from Forfar venerate Belenus (along with Daghda). Belenus is a member of the Forfarian Pantheon.[3] In the druidic schism between the faithful of Belenus and the faithful of Daghda, druids among the Rowan Faction are known for venerating Belenus.[4]

The Tepestani view him as the leader of the Tepestani Pantheon and the one whom coordinates their activities. He plays a large role in their creation myths, either as a major contributor or the sole creator. Belenus, Brigantia (Belenus' lover), and Manannan mac Lir serve as the primary foci of the Tepestani veneration within their pantheon. Lugh is recognized as Belenus' shadowy and cruder counterpart among the dark trio of deities of Lugh, Daghda, and Diancecht[5]
